Overview

The AWS Cloud Architect is a highly motivated technologist who possesses technical depth and strong interpersonal skills. This role will lead technical workshops, advise internal teams on architectural and strategic cloud decisions and design highly scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures that address customer business challenges. As a trusted customer advocate, you will help organization the understand best practices around advanced AWS cloud- based solutions. The ability to connect technology with measurable business value is critical to this role.

The ideal candidate is passionate to develop deep expertise in the AWS technologies as well as broad know-how around how applications and services are constructed using the AWS platform. She/he will possess customer facing skills that will allow them to represent Salucro well within a customer's environment and drive discussions with senior personnel within the company, as well as a technical background that enables them to easily interact and give guidance with software developers and architects.

They should also have a demonstrated ability to think structured about business, product, and technical challenges. As an AWS solution architect, you will enjoy keeping your existing technical skills honed and developing new ones, so you can make strong contributions to deep architecture discussions.

Major Duties & Responsibilities
  • Architect & build highly available and scalable multi-tenant architectures. Use AWS ecosystem technologies to provide microservices architectures that are highly reliable, redundant, and secure.
  • Apply technical expertise and insights to architect highly complex cloud-based solutions.
  • Provide leadership regarding cloud architecture, services consumption, application design, DevOps optimizations, and 3rd party integrations.
  • Ensure digital solutions become future-proof, exhibit high levels of performance, security, scalability, maintainability, and appropriate reusability and reliability upon deployment
  • Be the champion on digital technology identification, assessment, application, and implementation of best practices, and work with Engineering teams to remove key blockers.
  • Maintain technical skills and knowledge of digital trends and competitive insights; collaborate and share documentation and diagram creation on architecture designs and current cloud infrastructure.
Skills, Experience, & Minimum Requirements
  • Expert level experience with AWS Cloud architecture, building high functioning cloud engineering and services (security, automation), building, and deploying cloud infrastructure, AWS architecture and best practices around architecture, design and security.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional Certification.
  • 3+ years of engineering experience with a minimum 3 years of experience focused on Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud architecture, operations, DevOps, or administration.
  • 3+ years of experience with cloud automation and scripting.
  • 2+ years of experience creating deployment scripts (Terraform, Packer, Ansible).
  • Strong hands-on experience of programming with the following: Python, Go, PHP or similar object-oriented language.
  • 2+ years’ hands on experience with Containers (Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, ECS) and Serverless (AWS Lambda).
  • In depth understanding of Cloud Migration methodologies and best practices.
  • Solid understanding of AWS Cloud Security best practices.
  • Highly passionate about Cloud Cost optimization solutions.
  • Other AWS Certifications IE: AWS Systems Administrator, AWS DevOps Professional preferred.
  • Experience designing cloud infrastructure/architecture on AWS for Healthcare (CloudHSM) preferred.
  • A system engineering or developer background with the ability to learn quickly and share your knowledge with the broader team.
  • A mindset of automate everything, with experience demonstrating this.
  • Experience with HIPAA, PCI, SOC1/2 design for the cloud preferred.
